Gilmore Girls
Stories to Pass the Time by [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster
I've totally broken up with Gilmore Girls, and I'm totally OTP about Luke/Lorelai, so it was with skepticism that I clicked on this link, because Lorelai/Dean? But aside from being exceptionally hot, this story *nails* some essential truths about Lorelai. I don't know that Dean is actually this perceptive, but damn, the story works.

Grey's Anatomy

AU. Denny and Izzie spend their first night in their new house, but things don't go the way Izzie planned. Sigh. Wonderful.

The Nightmare Before Christmas
Most Wonderful Time by [livejournal.com profile] amanuensis1
They formed a friendship afterward, which most of the inhabitants of Christmas Town thought odd in the extreme, while the denizens of Halloween Town didn't know what to think at all. Aw, a glimpse of the friendship between Santa and Jack Skellington.

"There's an overwhelming sense that I must be punished for what I've done, for deceiving you, for our part in what's happened..." Lovely and sad, and true to both of them as they appear on the show. (Octavia/Octavian)

Star Wars
Provided the Cuffs and Collars Match by David Hines
Han really wants to know what Leia looked like in that slavegirl bikini. A little hot and a lot of awesome.

Black and White by lazy_neutrino
James and Lily, September, 1981. Heartbreaking.

Office Space by [livejournal.com profile] xylodemon
Fabulous post-war story about Ron trying to find his feet in the adult world. He ends up at the Ministry, with an out of control stapler and a sulky copy machine. And then Malfoy shows up. Really well done.

Sirius and Luna, at the bottom of the rabbit hole. Sharp and wistful.

Good Omens
Casual as Birds by [livejournal.com profile] apple_pi
Crowley returns to London from the front during WWII, searching for comfort. Powerful, understated, heartbreaking. Have tissues handy.

Switching Teams by [livejournal.com profile] rinnington
Due to an unfortunate bureaucratic mixup, Aziraphale and Crowley end up with each other's bodies. Adorable and sweet and funny.

Should Old Acquaintance be Forgot by [livejournal.com profile] xylodemon
Crowley, attempting to keep his New Year's Resolutions. Wonderfully in character. I especially like 2, 3, and 4.

Wednesdays by [livejournal.com profile] villainny
Who needs introspection when Aziraphale's provided jammy dodgers, that's always been his opinion. Adam's in college, so Crowley and Aziraphale pick up a new profession. Adorable - warm and wonderful.

Fact Is Only What You Believe by zahra
"She's a real pretty girl," he says easily watching Jason's profile as he studies the photograph. "A little mouthy sometimes, but she's got this crazy arm. I think she's gonna be the first girl to play pro. She's gonna set me up for life -- I'll be a kept man." Riggins and Street. Lovely.

Hotassery Is Not Special Dispensation to Be an Ass by zahra
Tim and Landry = BFF of Awkward! Excellent story of their growing friendship after "Nevermind."

Six Kinds of Coke and a Cup of Coffee by [livejournal.com profile] them0rgue
Landry and Riggins after "What to Do While You're Waiting." I really like the way they connect - and don't. Oh, boys.

Verboten by Kate Andrews
Wonderful sweet adorable Matt/Julie. "You are afraid to touch me," she says, grinning, teasing him. "You're afraid of my dad." And the sequel, Restraint: Julie Taylor is trying to get him killed. Adorable and hot and full of tasty UST and great characterization. Julie pushes Matt just a little farther. I just want to draw sparkly pink hearts around them. Yes.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel
At the Cross Roads, Well Met by [livejournal.com profile] redrikki
Xander, in Africa, engages an very... interesting guide. Warm and funny, with hints of danger lurking underneath.

Break my fall by [livejournal.com profile] liminalliz
Chilling, heartbreaking Illyria/Wesley. Once upon a time, a fallen god-king and her knight went into battle, side by side, smiting their enemies because that was the right thing to do. And his laughter matched her own.

Joyce, when Dawn arrives. Drabble that packs a mean wallop. Shivery good.

Falling Leaves by [livejournal.com profile] kangeiko
Illyria at the end of the world. Short, sharp, shivery.

Five Things Xander Harris Didn't Realize He'd Miss About Sunnydale by [livejournal.com profile] julia_here
Xander swore that the next time he had a good hammer, it was coming with him to the Apocalypse, no matter how silly it looked. Oh, Xander. Lovely.

The Post-Finals Tradition by [livejournal.com profile] mireille719
Oz is Connor's roommate at Stanford. It's cool, and possibly a little too normal, until it's not. Warm, wonderful story with a solid Connor voice and an excellent Oz characterization.

Five First Kisses That Never Happened (and the one that did) by [livejournal.com profile] mireille719
Wonderful Dan/Casey five things story.

Hang on Tooth and Nail by [livejournal.com profile] luzdeestrellas
Gorgeous, wistful Dan/Dana that nails their voices, and captures what Casey means to them. "Did you know?" [...] "From the semi-demented look on your face, I'm sensing that knowing's gonna end badly for me. Given that, no, I really, really didn't."

Crossovers

Grey's Anatomy/Sports Night
Dry, With a Twist by [livejournal.com profile] fox1013
Addison Montgomery meets Dan Rydell in a bar. Witty conversation overlays loneliness. I love how they can't quite connect. Lovely.

Good Omens/Harry Potter
Once More With Feeling by [livejournal.com profile] xylodemon
Absolutely AWESOME HP/GO crossover. Heaven and Hell suit up for round two of the apocalypse, and this time, Hell's got a wily plan. Aziraphale and Crowley team up with Harry Potter to thwart it. Dead on characterization, deft handling of the xover, heaps of fun.

Angel/Supernatural
Unhappy the Land That Has No Heroes by [livejournal.com profile] alizarin_nyc
Dean's out of his depth, Angel can't resist a new mission, and Faith's still trying to make a place for herself. Hotness ensues. I really like the desperation and melancholy threading through this.

*

Supernatural/Smallville
All Circles Warming Up by k.
"That wasn't a demon. That was something else. Do you really believe in demons?" "You don't? You were after a green glowing blob thing but somehow demons makes me the crazy one." Dean and Chloe meet, snark, and have hot sex. Mmm...tasty.
