Twitter vicar Reverend Aziraphale and former lead singer of the Hell Hounds Anthony Crowley have both enrolled for a special festive edition of the Great British Bake Off. Aziraphale needs to win to prove to the diocese that he can take a more modern message to the masses, while Crowley is looking to rehabilitate his image as a Devil-worshipping bad boy.

Early on, they identify each other as tough competition and set out to secure victory—tackling unexpected weddings, storms, and Sargent Shadwell, who may well accidentally blow the tent up before they make it to the Show Stopper. This is really lovely.

After committing some light treason. They fuck off to Naboo and have run-of-the-mill Good End AU adventures, kind of, and Obi-Wan tags along, kind of. I'm enjoying this AU quite a lot - 4 stories so far!

In some ways, his entire relationship with Crowley is just a conversation that's been going on for six thousand years, one that's ranged over every topic and idea except those that they, by agreement, Didn't Talk About. And that's beautiful and it's brilliant, of course, but it's difficult, too; it means there are pockets of ground where past disagreements and slights and agonies are buried, ready to explode the minute either one of them steps wrong. Aziraphale thinks the average human, wonderful creatures though they are, would probably melt down into eternal hysterics after the first thousand years or so. Honestly, some days he feels like he might. Long, lovely read in which Aziraphale and Crowley do some thinking and talking after averting the apocalypse.

Aziraphale had the fixed idea that heaven was in favor of being nice to other people, to which Crowley had two responses, one: that didn't work out too well for that poor bugger who got nailed to a cross, did it, and, two: they mean humans, they don't mean you.

He couldn’t manage to say either of those things in the face of Aziraphale’s expression, and turned his back so that he could stop looking at it. Oh heart.
