This is just utterly amazingly in character. This is SO who Andy turns into and Bender! So much love for Bender! This story is sweet and warm and sad and hopeful and the dialogue is perfect. It probably helps that I was in high school then, and in my thirties now.

Phallic symbols, snark and friendship -- this fic gets Jane and Daria perfectly. I could totally hear them having this conversation. In fact, instead of the Tom debacle, I wish they *had* had this conversation.

This fic gets the Veronica voice -- tough and yet still yearning wistfully -- exactly right. Lovely.
